Freedom and Flow

Especially when you say, "Even my friends don't know how truly real
my problem is. Even my therapist doesn't know." [Everyone laughs.]
When we step back and take a good look at our finding so much reality
in our problems, and at the same time finding so little reality in
enlightened beings - that's a very good reason for anybody to laugh!

One way or another, then, we are trying to bring the qualities of
spaciousness and light back into all these places within our
lives. "Well yes, I really want to bring some space and light into
my working life." We can all agree with that. So, how do we do
this? For sure it is much easier than you think - as long as you
approach it in the right way, in the right place, at the right time,
and with the right means. For sure it is easier than you think. But
often, without being aware of the proper skillful means, we just try
to force things to change, applying too much effort, thinking more
effort is good. This kind of forceful effort is not good.

Rather than continuing to apply more and more of this coarse kind of
effort to what is not working in your life, try using your energy in
a different, more skillful way. Try bringing space and light into
the workplace, into your personal life, into your view, your
experiences of what you see, your sense objects, the objects of your
thoughts. Bring space and light to each moment of perception; bring
space and light into how you take things in, how you process
experience, so that your experience can benefit you and not limit
you, condition you, or block you. If there is some sense of space
and light in your life, you will be able to experience a sense of
freedom and flow.

Looking Back

I'm not blogging very much these days, and some of you might wonder what has become of me in the wide and windy world...........

Well, like many of us I've been blown about on the winds of karma, given a few good knocks and blessed with some tasty licks to boot.

Kimberly and I have separated after trying to work it out- the good news being our unbroken deep affection and continued soul-friendship.  She's doing well.............

I continue to sell futons, cleanse my heart, and ponder the mysteries of everything.  I feel both inspired and overwhelmed.  I'm aware that we may be in the last days of our present civilization- the evidence that we may be headed towards a pole-shift is mounting.  (FYI- if this year finds more strange weather and particularly increased seismic activity around the world- yeah, you might just want to spend what's left of your 401K on a long spiritual retreat...................)

On the other hand, my research and understanding of bodily death and our spiritual nature gives me great succor and gratitude- for certainly this Universe can only be described as Totally Fucking Magnificent.

To whit:  Here's a pic with Saturn back-lit by the Sun.  Whoah is right- and if you look closely at the rings, you can see the Earth as a bright, tiny little dot.   Saturn represents tough lessons learned- and these days I see my little planet spin through those very rings on a daily basis.

If you look at evolution, chaos and breakdowns precede great breakthroughs.  Let's all take some comfort in that!

This is the End

Is suspense the real thriller?  When the movie is rolling, firing up the space with all that fantasitca et. al., do you feel for the finish?   Do you hanker towards the hanky or do you pick apart the panky?

What I'm trying to, uh, say here is this- what the hell do you go see a movie for anyway?  Do you watch the movie, or do you watch with the movie?  Do you want to be in on it, or dumb-fuck surprised?

Do you care how it ends?  Do you want to walk out in a 'wow it's still light out and look at that freakin' bird up there pretty cool' kind of mood or would you rather have trouble finding your car,  head spinning with ambulatory ambiguity, the great Whaaazaaaa?

Just asking.  "Coz I don't know.  Curious.  But how would you live your life if you knew everything, in the end, would be better than good, that it would be fantastic?   Would it get boring?

Sooooooo many annoying questions this morning.  So, let's peer behind that curtain for just a sec and see what that that ultra-bright, glare free, unapproachable but clearly and fully worshipable Light is-  could it be our own True Nature?

I think that it Is!  Sorry to blow the suspense folks.......... but bump up this lil' link  here for  thousands of reasons to enjoy what's left of your popcorn..........
